
(ANDINA). Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) noted that the country will host a forum for domestic and foreign investors, who will have access to a package of tourism projects worth 200 million dollars.
“We have explored the main tourist destinations in Peru and worked with the public and private sector not only to identify investment opportunities, but also the main barriers for the private sector as well as the mechanisms to mitigate them”, said the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mara Seminario.
The destinations included in the above-mentioned research are the Moche Route, the Northern Beaches, Paracas – Nasca, Lake Titicaca, Amazon river and Arequipa.
Mincetur is engaged in a series of actions aimed at developing tourist activity through infrastructure, training in good quality practices, and tourist culture, among others.
“Some of the main investment opportunities identified include a group of regional air routes, which may reach an investment close to 16 million dollars”, the deputy minister noted
