Depending on what your car insurance policy dictates or what you have decided on your car insurance policy, there may be a clause in there that allows you to have other people driver your vehicle. Most often, you see this sort of thing in couples who are married. For example, my parents have a shared car insurance policy that lists both of their names as being people who are allowed to drive both of their vehicles. This policy also means that should anything happen to either one of their vehicles, they will both be liable.

If you are dating someone or live with someone and are thinking about letting them drive your vehicle, there are a few things that you should consider first. For example, what does this person's driving record look like? How often have they gotten pulled over by the police? More importantly, how often have they become involved in a motor vehicle accident with another driver? Recently, my boyfriend had a discussion with his car insurance company to update them with his new address (since we recently move into a new apartment), and the insurance company actually informed him that if he and I were living together and/or had lived together for a certain period of time that we could actually be listed on the same car insurance policy. The incentive there was that it would actually be cheaper to be listed under the same policy versus having two separate policies.

In the end, my boyfriend and I decided against being listed under the same insurance policy. Financially, it didn't make sense for us because we do not have a shared bank account, which would have meant that one of us would have to be responsible for having our account drafted for the car insurance (which I was not about to do). Additionally, my boyfriend's driving record is not as great as mine. Having been in several accidents previously, he currently pays more money in car insurance than I do (having been in only one minor accident).

These car accidents begin to add up very quickly and are something that people need to be aware of whenever they let other people drive their vehicle. It only takes a split second to become involved in a car accident, and if you are driving someone else's vehicle when it happens then you are really putting the owner of that car in a precarious situation because their car insurance company is going to want to know who was driving the car at the time of the accident, and if the police report shows that it wasn't you, then you are going to be in hot water if that person wasn't listed on your car insurance policy. Know the person that you are turning your keys over to. Even if it is a family member such as your mother, brother or father, if their driving results in your vehicle getting totalled, the liability is yours, not theirs. Make the right decision.

The forecast for the week is for heavy snowfall. The days will be short, the temperature will be cool. If one expects to spend that week working, the weather will cause early morning hours spent shoveling snow from the driveway and extra hours spent in heavy, slow-moving traffic. If one expects to ski, the prospect is much brighter: the weather will result in long runs of fresh, powdery snow and deep breaths of cool mountain air. Such a week spent enjoying smooth, glorious skiing is the objective of an Alps holiday planned by Emotion-Tours.

Based in Québec, Emotion-Tours is a tour operator specializing in designing customized Alps holidays. Offering ski resort packages to destinations in Italy, Switzerland and France, Emotion-Tours specialists use their extensive knowledge of the destinations and the travel industry to design the perfect Alps holiday experience. Over the past 30 years, Robert Clouette, the founder and operator of the company, has frequented the destinations offered by Emotion-Tours. With his first-hand knowledge of the ski slopes, the resorts and the nearby amenities, he has trained his team to enhance clients’ Alps holidays with these special details, making each trip smooth and enjoyable. Having experienced the resorts himself, Mr. Clouette is able to recommend the right kind of accommodations for each client, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing stay for all.

Often the prospect of organizing, booking and executing a ski vacation can seem daunting. Unless each detail is accounted for, there are sure to be minor and annoying glitches which sour the mood and detract from the spirit of the journey. Not so with Emotion-Tours. Each Alps holiday is designed and organized by a dedicated vacation specialist, one person who becomes a single point of contact for the tour. Such a practice eliminates the risk of missed details, confusing transfers, muddled reservations or unmet expectations. Rather more than travel planners, Emotion-Tours specialists turn dream ski vacations into reality.

Beyond customized Alps holidays, Emotion-Tours also offer a variety of group tours to ski destinations in Europe. Singles, couples or groups can easily join a planned tour to Tignes, for example, and partake of the generous inclusions, such as private transfers, several meals, a welcome cocktail, and the valuable expertise of a knowledgeable Emotion-Tours guide. Armed with the advice of a guide, a group traveling with Emotion-Tours gains the advantage of insider information regarding resorts, ski runs activities and amenities. Which run should I take for the most spectacular view? Where should I go for a warming après-ski cocktail? Where best to go for dinner to experience the local culinary specialties? These are questions for which an Emotion-Tours guide is happy to have answers.

Whether a group tour or customized vacation, Emotion-Tours specialists plan Alps holidays that consistently surpass expectations. Forget a winter spent shoveling snow and fighting traffic and start imagining a relaxing journey to the beautiful Alps.

Italy, located in southern Europe, is one of the most favored destinations for tourists from all over the world. It is also popularly called "the boot" due to its geographical shape. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? It goes without saying that Rome has a rather prominent past. Lets see, in Rome you will find…[deep breath]…the Vatican, Coliseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Church of Saint Agnese, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and a guy name Allassandro. Just making sure you’re paying attention.
Milan's main attraction, The Duomo is the third largest church in the world, and took nearly 450 years to build. The construction of the Duomo began in 1386 and was completed in 1805 by Napoleon. This fabulous Gothic style church is a must see for any tourist. For the sporting fans a visit to the Meazza Stadium, better known as the San Siro should be rewarding. This is one of the best football stadiums in Italy. Daily visits to the San Siro are available with access to the stadium and changing rooms. Indeed, Rome is filthy with historically significant attractions. It seems you can’t turn around without bumping into something an Emperor built, captured or destroyed. When your mind and heart are on complete cultural overload, there is always the Italian Countryside to soothe your senses. Rent a villa in a charming Tuscan hill town like Siena, San Giminiano or Montepulciano. Relax, take time to explore the beautiful vineyards and old medieval town centers in the region.
The historic city of Turin is in the northwest part of Italy. Snow-capped mountains surround it and the Pro River runs close by. Not known for tourism, the city of Turin is shedding that image—thanks in part to the 2006 Winter Olympics. Shopping in Turin is also your opportunity to purchase many handmade Italian items to bring back home. It's easy to find and purchase locally made apparel, jewelry, chocolates and more.
Probably the most recognizable feature on Europe's map, Italy's ever-stylish boot stretches from the Alps in the north, 760 miles south to the Mediterranean. Off the west coast of Italy lies the Tyrrhenian Sea, while the east coast is kissed by the Adriatic. With a population over 58 million, and land mass of 300,000 square kilometers, Italy is the fourth largest country in western Europe and has so much to offer tourists and vacationers you will be spoiled for choice.
