
Lima, Apr. 20 (ANDINA). Peru’s Tourism and Export Promotion Board (Promperu) on Tuesday reported that more than 200 German travel agents and tour operators attending road shows in Hamburgo, Munich and Stuttgart learned about Peru’s current tourist offer and Peru Brand.
The event, held from April 12-14, 2011, was organized by Promperu and ArgeLateinamerika.
ArgeLateinamerika is an association that includes travel agencies, tour operators, among others organizations involved in the German tourism sector, interested in promoting tourism in Latin America.
President of ArgeLateinamerika Andreas Gross highlighted that 53,201 German tourists visited Peru in 2010, according to Peru’s General Directorate of Immigration and Naturalization (Digemin).
German tourists mostly from Munich, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf reached an average expense of US$ 2,147 in 2009.
